Council report - request for folding tables and chairs for $2,100 was passed for the Community Building, it was recommended that the Village Green be renovated and that a committee be set up to investigate the best use of the Wildlife Preserve and Bird Sanctuary, requested that trash cans not be put at the curb more than 48 hours prior to pick-up and that the landfill should be locked at all times and residents pay a fee for a permit to dump their trash, Council approved an ordinance to employ former Mayor Carl Lindell as Village Engineer, Dennis Goebel was appointed Patrolman, approved an ordinance prohibiting drugs, resolution passed recognizing George Eveland, Jr. and Tom Eveland for their quick action reporting the Rawnsley's fire, it was moved to rescind the Village ordinance on driving while intoxicated so the Major can prosecute drunk drivers under the stiffer state law, request for $1,500 for a used truck with a snow plow and salter was passed, resolution passed to advertise for bids for the sale of the house Terrace Park owns on Wooster Pike, Mayor Corbin brought up Mr. Tedeschi's petition for putting the old flower shop next to the Sohio station under a Planned Area Development to facilitate the sale

Council report - John Short asks for director from Terrace Park on the Tex Clennin property including Tower Hill which he leases and wants to purchase, Trudy Stevens and Les Overway present the idea of the Terrace Park Players erecting four bulletin boards which has to go to Planning and Zoning, council unanimously agreed to hire planning consultants to do a preliminary land use analysis of Terrace Park, the Planning and Zoning Commission hear a request from Paul Westerfield to cup up property at 825 Princeton into two lots and Bill Stevens has plans for a proposed rental and condominium development to be bounded by Elm, Wooster and Robinwood, an ordinance was introduced for "Failure to appear in response to a citation", Evwalt mining was discussed, an ordinance was passed authorizing funds for a second weekly garbage pickup during July and August, preparation work for painting and to pay half of the cost of painting guard rails along U.S. 50 was authorized, resolutions were passed agreeing to the purchase of folding chairs, chair holders and folding tables for the Community House, Jack J. Sahnd was approved as a new probationary full time police recruit, James B. Weesner was accepted as a part time patrolman, there were 7 arrests excluding traffic, Mayor's Court took in $2,865 last month, the house owned by the village at 603 Wooster is for sale, the second reading of the ordinance "prohibiting purchase, use of, possession, control of or sale of hallucinogens" passed, there is evidence of shooting in the Wilderness Preserve

reprint of an editorial appearing in the Mariemont High School Warpath and written by Mark Sauter which talks about some Village Views articles on dog droppings, poems and essays written by elementary school children and recycling, picture at Terrace Park Elementary School's annual Science Fair, the Ecology Club at Mariemont High School continues to collect bottles and cans for recycling
around the town - gymnastic and ballet students will perform at the TP Elementary School on March 24, there will be a Middle School PTA Rummage Sale March 25, the Cub Scouts will hold their annual Pinewood Derby March 28, TP spring vacation starts March 30, the Child Study Group is sponsoring an Easter Egg hunt on March 31, the Garden Club will hold its Installation Luncheon and Annual Meeting on April 4, the League of Women Voters will discuss "Financing City, County and Townships Governments" on April 12, the Boy Scouts will have a paper drive and clothing drive will be April 16, the Garden Club Spring Flower Show will be April 19, Kindergarten Roundup for Terrace Park children will be April 26, the Polar Bear Swim will be each Tuesday and Thursday morning at the high school, Richard Carothers is participating in an off campus study project at Wroxton College in Oxfordshire, England

Council report - Council will no longer seek annexation of the area west of Terrace Park due to negative reaction, ordinance passed to hire John T. Beisel of Matrix Company and Herb Stevens to explore vacant land use in the Park and possible annexation, Councilman Kent Smith proposed looking into a cable television franchise for the Park, the Planning and Zoning Commission did not meet in April but it was reported there has been a lot of public reaction to the Westerfield Division and the Bill Stevens Development, Council approved the first reading of an ordinance governing individual dumping in the land fill, a truck was bought equipped with a snow plow, salt spreader and leaf pick-up, an ordinance raising hourly pay for the Village maintenance crew as passed, summer garbage pick-up will only take place in July and August, a resolution was passed to establish a traffic bureau to handle nonmoving traffic violations, a resolution was passed which Council discourages the type of advertising where newspaper advertisements are thrown in the front yards of Village residents, the southwestern Ohio Pollution Control District clarified that open tree bonfires are legal when held for ceremonial purposes

The Planning and Zoning Commission met to hear Bill Stevens' proposal for an 18 unit condominium at the south east corner of Elm and Wooster Pike and they also heard the request to subdivide the lot at 825 Princeton and the possible Planned Area Development for the north side of Wooster Pike on the property east of the Sohio station
the tenth Memorial Day Parade will start at 10:00 a.m. on May 29 and the track and field meet will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Council Report - the Village received $18,800 in estate taxes, the Village sold the house on Wooster Pike next to the Zephyr station, the Village invested $25,000 in short term government paper, Council will meet informally to work on the budget and discuss possible ways of allocating the Improvement Fund, the income for Terrace Park may be more than originally estimated, estimates are being gathered for repair of several streets and sidewalk repair, the garbage collection for July and August will be Tuesday and Friday, the landfill ordinance passed the second reading, the was discussion of repairs to the Elm Road bridge over the railroad, revisions for the Police Department were discussed, physician inspection for the land use study has been made, choices for three new members for the Zoning Board of Appeals were indicated but not named in this VV issue

Council report - on June 27 legislation was passed increasing Village control over new construction, bids were being procured for street resurfacing, new sign for Wilderness Preserve, two camping sites developed, riding lawn mower purchased, landscape architect hired to remodel Village Green, the Village Engineer addressed four topics - orientation of lights at the five-way intersection, pedestrian signals at that intersection, pedestrian bridge over Wooster at Western and widening of a section of Indian Hill Road, the 1973 proposed budget was offered for approval and passed, the resolution opposing renewal of the liquor license for Tex's Cafe is being sent to the Liquor Control Board, Robert W. Biddle was hired as a recruit patrolman, the Zoning Committee continued to investigate bringing Cable TV to the Village, Mayor's Court collected $1,833 during June, Richard Feldon resigned and Ed Davison will serve his unexpired term
