council - rechanneling of the rivers was discussed, annexation was discussed, some citizens objected to the foul odors coming from the stock feeding operation west of the village, the Garden Club's project was reported on, the morning crossing guard has been reinstated at Western and Wooster, Patrolman Thomas Hemseth is recovering from an injury, bids for the new furnace were reviewed, approval for budget changes was requested, a holiday and sick leave ordinance for Village employees was enacted, it was decided to stay with the black background and white lettering street signs

Bevis, Deputy Director of Division 8 of the Highway Dept. announced, unofficially, that the President's Council on Environmental Quality had rejected the highway, Relocated 50 plans but the information cannot be verified but if the project is not stopped the Sierra Club is prepared to take the question to court if the Highway Dept. persists
the L.M.I. discussed the latest developments of the Relocated 50 at their November 2nd meeting and they discussed the in-stream gravel operation west of Terrace Park who had some violations of the zoning permit
Garden Club house tour to be held December 12 with houses toured at 115 Red Bird Lane, 103 Michigan Ave., 808 Yale Ave., 912 Stanton Ave. and 702 Floral Ave.
Ferd B. Critchell, Jr. and Kent G. Smith were victorious in the four man race for council and Frank Corbin and Donald Franke running unopposed for their respective offices, the school and hospital levies passed
Council - the Inter-Parish Housing Task Group is trying to work out a way to relocate families living in the housing owned by E.
