Council report - Council will no longer seek annexation of the area west of Terrace Park due to negative reaction, ordinance passed to hire John T. Beisel of Matrix Company and Herb Stevens to explore vacant land use in the Park and possible annexation, Councilman Kent Smith proposed looking into a cable television franchise for the Park, the Planning and Zoning Commission did not meet in April but it was reported there has been a lot of public reaction to the Westerfield Division and the Bill Stevens Development, Council approved the first reading of an ordinance governing individual dumping in the land fill, a truck was bought equipped with a snow plow, salt spreader and leaf pick-up, an ordinance raising hourly pay for the Village maintenance crew as passed, summer garbage pick-up will only take place in July and August, a resolution was passed to establish a traffic bureau to handle nonmoving traffic violations, a resolution was passed which Council discourages the type of advertising where newspaper advertisements are thrown in the front yards of Village residents, the southwestern Ohio Pollution Control District clarified that open tree bonfires are legal when held for ceremonial purposes
Letters to the Editor - Sandra T. Preston writes that it appears Council's attitude has changed and that they seem to be rudely ignoring the citizens who have come to meeting and there is no effort made to clarify points through the answering of questions and Graydon DeCamp comments on Mark Sauter's editorial in the Mariemont Warpath in response to an article in Village Views on dog droppings, poems and recycling
Terrace Park Players present "One of Those Songs" on May 17, 18, 19 and 20 plus a picture of a rehearsal
Garden Club will meet May 9 with Carl Nuisen showing slides, mention was made about the Girl Scouts and Jay's Gardening Center planting trees and the Garden Club will commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Arbor Day by sponsoring a tree planting ceremony at the Terrace Park School
Fire Department Report - there have been various grass and leaf fires so possibly set by individuals
Jerry and Don Leshner were reappointed as editors of the Village Views, Betsy Holloway was renamed treasurer, Pat Henley was elected chairman of the Editorial Board and original board members Ray Cadwallader, Rev. Robert Gerhard and Ellis Rawnsley are serving with her and new members of the Editorial Board are Marilyn Julnes, Addison Maupin and Dave Pannkuk
